Viral Foot Infection (Verucca)

A Verruca is often acquired by not wearing shoes in wet communal areas such as swimming baths. It appears as hard skin with a centre black dot.The symptoms can be painful but not always. If spotted early, the root will be shallow and it should respond well to treatment.

PARKS MEDICAL SUPPLIES stocks:

  • BAZUKA TREATMENT GEL
  • SALICYLIC ACID and LACTIC ACID
  • CRYOTHERAPY MEDICATION AS A SPRAY OR PEN (this freezes the verruca at it's source)

When applying, spread vaseline around the Verruca. Then place one or two drops of BAZUKA GEL onto the Verruca very carefully.

Leave the BAZUKA to dry and cover with fabric plaster.

Repeat treatment daily for four to five days after which the central black dot should disappear.

Prevent re infection by wearing guard socks.

Parks medical supplied stocks a wide range of guard socks depending on the patients shoe size.
